In 1989, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah, issued instructions to create a charitable institution with humanitarian goals within the Emirate of Sharjah. This institution was officially founded by Amiri Decree No. (1) of 1989, initially known as the "Charity Association." In the year 2000, it underwent an amendment, leading to its renaming as the "Sharjah Charity Association."
The Awqaf (General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments) issued a guideline to modernise the conventional ways of accepting donations through the implementation of digital kiosks. The new guideline was introduced to ensure transparency and digital accountability. Therefore, it became mandatory for registered charitable institutions to deploy donation kiosks to collect donations.
Panashi provided Sharjah Charity International with our top-notch self-service charity kiosk, giving a significant boost to their operations. The kiosk was equipped with the latest tech and offered contactless payment options. It came with a spacious screen and a customised user interface to make the kiosk stand out and attract the attention of the public.
The charity kiosk plays a crucial role in supporting various donation campaigns run by Sharjah Charity International.
